The Mac Library Experience
The library is an important part of you academic experience and is essential to your success. It might seem a little overwhelming at first, but this session is designed to help you become more comfortable with your research skills. This session will be lead by Krista Godfrey, Reference Librarian:
• Introduce you to McMaster Libraries
• Identify key resources
• Identify help available to you
The session will also have a follow-up session in October. The hands-on follow-up session will provide tips and tricks for finding the resources you need for assignments. Keep an eye out for the date!
Learn how to create “SMART” study notes!
Dr. Richard (Dick) Day, Professor in Psychology, has been nominated for the McMaster Students' Union Teaching Award each year from 1987 (when he won for the Faculty of Social Science) until 1999. He is known as one of the University's most enthusiastic teachers.
As a First Generation Student himself, Dr. Day will lead an exercise where you will participate in a mini lecture and then learn step by step how to create effective smart study notes.
