Calling all students to submit recipes...
Hi! I'm from the Mac Breadbin and we are in the works of putting together a student cookbook and we need as many recipes as possible. If you submit a recipe, your name will be published with it. If you have a recipe that you would like to share, you can post them on this forum, with your name or you can email them to me at [email protected] Thanks!

This is my favourite dish.. make it all the time, you can substitute shrimp for chicken or veggies...

Coconut Shrimp Scampi
Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
1 pound medium shrimps, peeled and deveined
4 ounces cream cheese
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
3 1/2 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoons olive oil
Salt to taste
This recipe is for a serving of 4 , so if you want it for 2 or 1 just calculate accordingly...
In a saucepan, heat olive oil; sauté shrimps and garlic.
In another saucepan, mix the milk, coconut milk, butter and cornstarch. Cook, stirring constantly over medium heat until thickened. Add whipping cream and Parmesan cheese.
Stir in cream cheese and shrimps. Season with salt.
Transfer to baking dish and bake for 10 minutes.
Serve immediately with rice.

My favourite recipe:

Kraft Dinner (aka KD, Mac and Chees, etc)

You will need
1. A box of Kraft Dinner
2. Pot
3. Stove, Hot plate
4. Milk
5. Butter/Margarine
6. Pasta Strainer

1. Go to your local grocery store, convenience mart, etc
2. Purchase a box of Kraft Dinner
3. Go Home, and follow instructions printed on the side of the box.
4. Add any other ingredients at your own discretion.
5. Enjoy the best meal ever.

Pro tip - For those on the run, you can follow the same instructions but instead of KD, one can use Easy Mac!

This recipe! http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Meaties...er/Detail.aspx
But, you have to change it to 6 servings, except if your slow cooker happens to be huge... didn't use tabasco sauce in mine. I also cut the tofu up finely instead of cubes.

Good idea! I have to try this.

I love KD also... it's been one of my favourites pretty much forever. Can't go wrong with KD.

Thanks for the judgement.

KD is not gross. It's delicious.

Also, it's not bad for you... it's pasta and cheese. Like with most pre-packaged foods, sodium levels can be high but that's something that must be taken into account with your diet in general.

Finally, it's inexpensive, and easy/quick to make. We don't all live at home with our parents.

No shit. I have to be lazy to like something? Goddamn, your comments are ignorant sometimes.

It's cheap, makes a lot of servings, tastes AWESOME (especially with ketchup and pepper, OMNOMNOMNOM).

And oh yea, IT'S CHEAP.

Well Eating pasta and cheese regularly is also not good for you , so either way.
I don't know, I'd rather make something from scratch myself.

And by the way, me living with my parents has nothing to do with me not eating kd (how does it even make sense?).

When I lived in Toronto, I lived at john and mercer, which is like a 20 min walk from the nearest affordable grocery store, and I would still walk and get groceries and make dinner for myself. I just don't like prepackaged stuff, i'm not hating on anyone, just wondering why you guys like it so much.
