Camelot Towers
Has anyone lived in Camelot towers? They are offering me a room for $775.00/month + utilities. Is this a rip off for a 6 min bike ride and about 20min walk to campus?

Awesome price for awesome location. If you want cheaper, gotta go further out especially for apartments.

:/a room for $700+? You're a student right?

If you're gonna pay DOUBLE the price anyone pays, it better be a luxury suite.

Every landlord (especially in apartments) will raise the rent every chance they get. Effort Trust does it too, you have to expect that and plan to pay an extra $20 or so monthly after your first year.

$775 is a LOT for one person to pay... I'd get a roommate. Splitting the costs makes everything much cheaper, from internet down to food.

I found out that there is free wifi in the Campus library so I won't have an internet plan when I move in. That should create the buffer for cases where they raise the rent. I don't think a science student would be on the computer much anyway.

It isn't suggested moving into an apartment without some sort of internet connection. You never know when you'll need it. If you want to go down that route, I suggest updating your phone's data plan and tether whenever you need to.
