Campus Blood Clinics!
Hey guys!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Canadian Blood Services will be holding a donation clinic on campus on Monday September 27th, from 10:30am to 5pm in CIBC Hall, which is on the third floor of the Student Centre. Walk-ins are available, or you can call and make an appointment - 1-888-2DONATE.

It's fine if you don't know what blood type you are; since that probably means you're a first-time donor, you have to fill in some more info, and they'll type your blood and send you a donor card with the info on it

Hm even I dont know what type of blood I am. But then again, im one of those people who thinks my blood is precious and is worth more than gold. So I like to keep it inside me.

na i kinda understand what xsumz is saying i have a few friends like that its not that they dont want to help out people or anything but just the concept of their blood leaving them and being in someone else doesnt feel right. lol im nothing like that really i just always wanted to donate but aprpently i got really tiny ass veins lol so i hope that doesnt become a problem

I also have very small veins, sometimes it takes 2 nurses just to find one, just make sure you drink plenty of water before, it will definitely help.

Blood is a good thing, and your body is reproducing it all the time. So why not share it with people who need it? Like I said, your blood can save up to 3 people's lives .. and you'll definitely appreciate those who donate if God forbid you or a loved one need it one day. Completely your choice though!

Yeah of course! They prick your finger before you donate, to check your iron and then you will get a donor card in the mail that has your blood type on it.

I just dont like blood leaving my body. Like if I get cut or something sure, i'll just suck up some blood or what not. But giving someone else MY blood. Not happening. I have a wierd mentality on that. I just feel that if someone else has my blood, then they also have some tiny part of me which is NOT cool. My blood adds to my uniqueness.

yea thats totally understandable. lol im accident prone so i just wanna help out my accident prone brethren

I think they test all the blood ever since that incident where people got AIDS form receiving blood.
