CAN BIKE cycling course this weekend at McMaster

 
Nationally Certified Cycling Course: October 26 & 27 at McMaster's Main Campus

CAN-BIKE 1 is a cycling course for enhancing your ability to ride defensively on your city’s residential streets. The course is 12 hours in length, occurring over one weekend with both indoor and outdoor components. Classroom topics include: positioning within lanes and intersections, left turn techniques and traffic flow principles. Road topics include group riding etiquette, handling techniques and residential street riding. The course will also cover equipment and maintenance basics. Upon completion of the course, participant will receive a CAN-BIKE certificate card. Pre-requisites: must have a McMaster ID, and a working bicycle and helmet. You must be comfortable riding your bicycle in low traffic situations. This course is being offered as a pilot in collaboration with the Office of Sustainability.
