With permission would it be possible to write early, or can you only have exams differed until a later date?

Yup; Just talk to your professor to see if you can be accommodated. Some may not offer to do it earlier though.

Hmmmmmm..
I actually emailed the prof about this (since I need to book a flight)...
I was told that I have to go to the Associate Dean's office regarding that..
So I think it depends on the prof... and maybe.. the size of the class??

Depends on the professor and class. Some classes will have an early write, others will not. Some professors will allow you to write the early test, others will not. Completely different from course to course. Email your professor and ask him or her directly.
