I'm pretty sure the July date is when our timetables come out and then in August you can section whichever courses have multiple sections. I don't know the exact date in august though.

July 12 is when SOLAR reopens again after the first round of registration to allow other students that don't fall under the year 1/2/3/4 categories. I think you are allowed to make changes to your course selection but not to your sections.

That is correct, you can add/drop courses but you cannot choose sections until you have been sectioned by the Registrar which occurs in August right before you receive your timetable.
