As lulzy as it is, we really need that Lake fixed. Not only is it really, really annoying, but its a safety issue.

I guess if you made a matrix-like short and enter it in an international film contest, you'd draw some attention

Bahh Humbug to you too Scrooge

On a sidenote, cant say i wasnt a bit rattled that the rowing team was getting so much attention, for copying the engineering students a day later. When i saw an article in the paper stating Mac students setting new records on lake mcmaster, i thought this must be about the engineers. But nope, the rowing team was front and centre for an idea that they would have never come up with without the help of those 4 witty engineers

Lol yes...and those four engineers only had the idea because they saw a picture of some other engineers doing that in the 1970s or something.

like starfish said, people have been canoeing in that lake for decades. It happens pretty much every year and people act like its a new thing. Only difference is we have youtube and cell phone cameras now and it must have been a slow news week to make the paper.

now these guys took it to a new level. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQV5jBkkQjo. I was in a class in BSB at the time and watching them out the window and they were in there for at least 10 minutes and it was hilarious.

I'd rather see the pond made permanent and the paths fixed. What other universities have a pond in the middle of campus? Just keep the drunk idiots away from it.

people in first year don't know that this happens every year so it's new to us
i thought they came up with it, i had no idea it happened back in 1960/70
nothing wrong with redoing a great idea
