Can't Make It
Hey guys,
So I got hit with the stomach flu late last night, and I have a midterm today. I was wondering what would happen if I can't make it to write the midterm..

A self reporting tool was implemented when H1N1 was a big deal. It says you can report "sickness and/or injuries", but I'm not sure if it's for any illness or just for H1N1 symptoms. Maybe you should call Campus Health and ask.

I recently missed the midterm because of some thing similar. I went to my family doctor and he printed off this mcmaster form and checked off the severe option which said that I wouldnt be able to write the test. I handed the form to the associate deans office and thats it, done.

Because its such a big class (i dont think) they will let you rewrite it. They will probably just make your final worth more

it actually was bio:| 1a03...was it really that bad? I emailed Alastair and he said I could defer it...

Well, I'm not a big fan of memorization, so the test seemed like it contained...a lot of unnecessarily detail, along with plenty of poorly worded questions |

was the test on the influenza virus. I took the course last year, the test was very difficult, a true test of memorization skills. Luckily that's a strong point for me and i managed to do well. Study hard for the exam and you will do well

Loll, well I mean, I knew what it was but I spelt it wrong. Great.
But what Mahratta said:
It rewarded memorization of useless details, and any studying you do on the big picture, or trends, or even the big processes becomes worthless when there's only 1 or 2 marks on it.
