CFMU - Redefining Radio
McMaster's Campus Radio Station
By Chad Fullerton
CFMU, heard by tuning into 93.3 FM, is McMaster's volunteer based campus radio station that has been providing an alternative source for music and news in Hamilton for over 25 years. The service is provided through the MSU (McMaster Student Union) and is known for having a diverse schedule of content.
Throughout the week students run their own radio shows that range from spoken word, jazz/blues, beats, to world and cultural. Each of the shows have their own unique style depending on the student(s) that run the show. You're almost guaranteed to find one show that plays the style of music you enjoy most.

Interested in starting your own radio show? CFMU takes applications for new shows every year and you might be selected if you have a great idea. To apply, fill out the
application.
Keeping campus radio alive is very important, since it is an independent station that is not only local to our community, but gives students a chance to voice their thoughts and ideas in an open environment, uncensored by big corporations who run most of the airwaves today.
