How to change timetables around on SOLAR
I got my timetable, and I know what changes I need to make, but before August 11th comes, I want to know where to go and what to do in order to change my timetable around. Anyone who can describe to me the steps?

1. Wake up at 8:00AM on Wednesday, August 11th, 2010.
2. Turn on computer.
3. Go to mugsi.mcmaster.ca
4. Try to get into mugsi (could take upto 24 hours)
5. Try to get into SOLAR (could take upto 24 additional hours)
6. Access the option in SOLAR that corresponds to you.
7. Pick CORE/LAB/TUT from drop down menu.
8. Verify changes and check for conflicts.
9. Check timetable ~1hour later to make sure changes worked.
10. Go to bed, since it has probably been over 24 hours by now.

Just wait till tomorrow, trust me its not that complicated. Each course has a Core/Lab/Tutorial (if all 3 are offered in the course) that you can change.
Looking at your question, I assume you mean something like this:
Example: 2CI5
C01: Monday, Wedesday, Friday
C02: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
But you want class on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. So your asking if you can take C01 for Monday and Tuesday, but C02 for Thursday? If so, the answer is no. You pick either C01 or C02.

Check the master timetable and see if a core that has tuesday class is offered.

I would also like to add that you have to choose "modify" from the drop down menu next to the course you wish to modify.
