Changes 2008: Similar Threads & Newest Post
Last year, summer time was exciting for MacInsiders because it is the time of year when we see a rush of first-year students visiting the site in search of information and answers to questions. In order to help you find the answers to your questions, a new feature has now been added as part of our "Changes 2008" campaign (based on
your user feedback) that will assist you in finding similar forum discussions that talk about related content.
Searching for popular terms like 'textbooks' will now provide you with a box showing similar posts that you may also be interested in.
Also, now when you go to a post where there are new replies that you haven't read, you'll see a link at the top called "Click here to view the newest post you haven't read". If you click this it will take you to the newest replies that you haven't seen yet. This should be a relief to heavy forum users that are probably annoyed with having to search through the thread pages in a discussion to see where they left off!
