Chatr is Rogers so reception is the same as Rogers. They don't require a contract so trying them out is simple as switching a SIM into a unlocked phone.

Chatr is focus on voice only, so don't expect to be able to access data.

Becareful of their plans, the prices listed has an expiration date (6 months).

Depending on your needs, a better alternative would be to get CityFido (Fido is also Rogers).

Quote:
$35
Unlimited Incoming local calls
Unlimited Outgoing local calls
Unlimited Text messages
Unlimited International text messages

Once you are a Fido customers for a few months (3 or 6). You can call back and bargain with Retention department for better non-retail plans.
