Definitely would have been my choice had I decided to pursue eng... I don't know anyone who's in it, either.

Not everyone can be engineers, just like not everyone can be lawyers, doctors or work in adult movie industry..

This is true. Other than first year chems we take analytical chemistry, and our choice of chem 2e03 + industry or the two orgos. A lot of what we do isn't like the chemistry everyone is used to.

I'm in my final year of chem eng and international studies... I'd say chem eng is deceiving at first. You think its going to be a lot of chemistry, but it's actually just a lot of applied math (thermo, polymers, process control) and varies if you decide to stream.

Honestly, if you read the course outlines on MI it will give you a pretty good indication of the department structure. Just know, there are two lab courses (3L and 4L) that are the most work-intensive but are only worth 2 units each.

if by 'engineer' you mean 'in an undergrad eng program', then your comparison isn't accurate. Anyone who cares to apply for undergrad in eng can get in to some eng program or another; can't say the same for medicine or law

Personally, I always wanted to be a P+0+RN0 director, I have so many ideas for it....
Sorry but Rule #34 says you won't bring anything new to the table.

If you're interested in doing more chemistry stuff, you'll actually find more of it in materials. We do metallic reactions and electrochemical cells and stuff, as well as sharing some courses with Chem like fluids and heat transfer.

The best way i've heard it put:
Chem eng is more about process than chemistry.

(Also lots and lots of girls! Their wing in JHE is the only one that has the multiple stall bathroom as the women's washroom!!)

By engineer I obviously mean the profession. I know my vocabulary and there is one definition for it. Plus not anyone can get a degree in Engineering, it takes math skills that a lot of people lack.
