Chemistry quesion
not sure this isn't the place to ask, but ive been stuck on this question forever and I'm not sure what I'm missing.
Consider a hypothetical equilibrium that exists between compounds A and B at room temp (298 K). The ?G‡ for the forward reaction (conversion of A to B) is 22 KJ/mol. Likewise ?G‡ for the reverse process is 34 KJ/mol.
A. Calculate ?G0 for the forward reaction and construct a potential energy diagram for the conversion of A to B. Be sure to place the transition state in accordance with the Hammond Postulate.

B. a flask containing a mixture of A and B at equilibrium was discovered, and the concentration of A at room temperature was determined experimentally to be 3.1 x 10^-2 mol/L. What is the concentration of B?
i finished a, but i dont know how to solve b.
thanks!

what course is this for?
I'm pretty sure you dont have enough information to finish part B because you are given nothing as to how compounds A and B relate. Is there an equilibrium constant?

Nvm, I just realized they were 2 parts of the same question.

Okay, for part B you need to use the equation ?G0 = - RT ln(K) [? = delta symbol]
Use that equation to find the equilibrium constant K
Once you know K, solve to find the concentration of compound B (since the eq const K is defined as "conc products/ conc reactants"
