Choosing Professors
Are we able to choose professors, and if so, how do we go about doing that? Do we choose them on August 11th?

You choose a core (lecture) which in turn will have a certain prof teaching that core.
So basically so answer your question, yes, you can choose your professors.

Does it mention which Professor is teaching the core on SOLAR?
Also, I heard that tutorials are taught by T.A.'s, is that true?

In mother Russia, professors choose you .
(When SOLAR reopens, change your 'core' section (C01, C02..etc) to another based on the Master Timetable)

SOLAR doesn't mention which professors teach each core section. You can check that out on the master timetable.
Also TA's do teach tutorials most of the time but you may get the occasional prof who teaches it.

I was worried about taking a tutorial for Math 1LS3 under the Prof. "R. Eftimie", since I heard she was pretty bad. But if there's a T.A. teaching then I guess it won't matter.

You don't have to attend the lectures that are on your timetable.
check the master timetable to see what profs teach what core. And most of the time TA's do labs and tutorials, but not always.

Thanks for all the help guys,
One more question, under the master timetable, sometimes it will say a Prof's name and another Prof's name right under the first one...for example:
C01 Tu Th Fr 14:30 15:20 2 CNH/104
QUINN, JS
STONE, J
C02 Mo We 11:30 12:20 2 CNH/104
QUINN, JS
STONE, J
Does this mean either one could teach the course and it is undecided? Sometimes there is one name and obviously that would mean that is the prof teaching. But in this case I'm not sure which would teach?
Thanks again!

no, it means one prof will teach a part of the class, the other will do the other part (ie. first 5 weeks is taught be one prof, and the 2nd half, taught by the 2nd prof)

It just means that two professors will be teaching the course, one for the first half and the other for the second half.
