Class Rankings
Did Mac in its history ever give class or graduating class rankings?
I see these Linkedin profiles of Mac grads from early 2000s and call BS on their graduating class rankings.

You can graduate with magna or summa cum laude honours. Maybe that's what they mean.

Mac does not have a laude system. Only "with distinction " if you have >= 9.5.
The reason I ask is because some grad applications want a ranking.

erm I just want to clarify that we sort of do...well it's an abbreviated version. If you get over 9.5, it's "summa cum laude" on your diploma, but otherwise I believe you get nothing. Any other Mac alumni, please correct me if I'm wrong.

It would be nice to see statistics released from every course and some sort of statistics on the graduating class. Might be interesting to look back on.

this is right.
if you were invited to GK, you were in the top 15% of your faculty (based of the registrar's record)
but top 15% isn't that big of a deal.

Is it top 15% of your faculty or top 15% of your university?

That 15% is so vague...like is it per year, or just the entire faculty. And its so broad to...there are a lot of different programs within each faculty. Like nurses, midwives and Bhsc within Health sciences. I wonder what happens for ArtScis...

You could maybe talk to somebody in your faculty or program's office, they might be able to give you something. Whenever I had to ask for reference letters from profs, they both wrote my ranking in each of their courses. So the office might have a ranking of your program.
