Communications has a lot of mini assignments. If you do crap in one its not the end of the world, it is also very interesting (a mix of politics, psych, linguistics). Unless you know a lot about languages (are bi-lingual or enjoy the origin of words) I would suggest staying away from linguistics. The other I dont know about. Communications is very fun and interesting though, its just a matter of you having good writing.
