Commerce 1B03
Hey everyone!
I'm a social science student and I decided to take commerce 1B03 just to keep my options open and also because I thought it might be interesting.
To anyone who has taken the course before, any suggestions? is it a very demanding course?
Thank you!

Hey! I'm going in to second year commerce and had to take that course last year. It's with Rita Cossa, who has very mixed reviews - but personally, I really liked her. There is some group work (2 projects) that takes quite a bit of effort to do well on. The midterms were straight multiple choice though, right from lecture and the textbook. So yes, to do well you will need to read the textbook cover to cover, but it's not really that bad. If you have an interest, it's a great introduction to the discipline. It's not a bird course by any means though, and could be really tough if you have no interest.
