Commerce first year
Is it mandatory to finish 30 credits in the first year commerce??

I dropped an elective in first year and made up for it in second year. Hadn't run into any issues.

That said, I would not advise you drop a required course, and don't risk having anything outstanding by the end of second year.

If you want to keep a fairly steady course load over your university career, you can follow what they recommend. As long as you have X amount of credits by the time you graduate, I don't think it matters too much.

That being said, you may still have to meet a minimum number of credits to stay in commerce for the year, but not sure how many it is

As long as you make it up, it should be ok. I would definitely suggest you take all 30 though so you don't fall behind.
