Math 1LT3 is a new course so no one has taken it yet. But based on the difference between 1A03 and 1LS3 I would say its safe to assume that 1AA3 will be harder.

Thanks for your help, so Math 1LT3 is easier . But I will take Math 1A03 in term 1 ,so do you think Math 1LT3 is still better or Math 1AA3 is better ?

from the 2009-2010 year, 1AA3 was actually EASIER than 1a03 SO IF U PLAN on Taking 1A03, then take 1AA3 for sure.

pS: have you played pokemon ruby before, ruby101?

Ya 1AA3 is the natural progression from 1A03, so I would take 1AA3.

Considering the 1L stream is allegedly easier and 1LS3 is equivalent to 1A03, as 1LT3 is to 1AA3, why wouldn't you just take 1LS3, followed by 1LT3? The main reason people took 1A03 before was so they'd be prepared to tackle 1AA3, and they needed 2 semesters of calculus, as there was no follow-up for 1LS3 at the time. However, with the arrival of 1LT3, there's no reason to take the 1A03/1AA3 stream. Go with 1LS3/1LT3 for sure.

Thanks. But Math 1LS3 was full, I cannot take it. I only can take Math 1A03 then Math 1AA3 or MAth 1A03 then MAth 1LT3 at this time. so do you think which one is better ?

I think that the 1A stream >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 1L stream, unless you're really bad at math and are just taking it for the credit. If you have any interest in math at all, go for the 1A stream! Seriously, it's not THAT hard.

As a side note, if you're in commerce, why are you taking 1L/1A math? I thought commerce has their own math?

One of Math 1M03, Math 1A03 or Math 1LS3 is required . But in order to take one more Math (Math 1AA3 or Math 1LT3) as my elective in term 2, I need to take Math 1A03 or Math 1LS3 in term 1 as prerequisite.

Well I'm sure the 1A stream is harder than 1LS3, I don't think it's not doable or anything. I'm just saying, you may as well try and take the easier math -- you should go easy on yourself for first year, as the transition to university may not be smooth!

Hey _Mike_, if I go into the Psych, Neuro.& Behaviour program am I fine with taking just 1LS3, or would I need to take 1A03 eventually?

1LS3 and 1A03 are equivalent and starting this year, they are antirequisites of one another. Therefore, you are only allowed to take one of them. Note that this is the only math course you will have to take for psych, so if you hate math, you can breathe easily!

Both the 1A and 1L streams aren't really "mathy", so to speak - they're both just applied versions of an applied area of math (calculus)
