That won't work very well in SC2...the other player will just expand like a madman and have enough resources to send [what seems like] limitless armies at you.

Such a troll, lol. Overall in the last year Terran has always had the highest winning percentage in tournaments, and I think in the last month they've been at their lowest (which is still higher than Z and P).
See:

So from this, I was wrong, they haven't always had the highest winning percentage in tournaments, but since December they've consistently had the highest winning percentage.
I also just noticed the top 8 GM Koreans are all terran :(

I got the Starter Pack, and here is my review so far:
The game is beautiful. The graphics are very nice. My laptop sucks, so I have to run everything at LOW, but even then the game looks really pretty. I am very impressed with that, and the game runs nicely and smoothly.
Holy crap, it's addictive. I love it. And I love how you can upgrade units and buildings, much like C&C4 (even though C&C4 sucks ass). And I love the interface, even in the main campaign menu, clicking on NPCs and consoles.
I just finished the third mission in the campaign, but overall I have to say I am VERY impressed with the game. Yeah, I am definitely going to buy this very soon.

Ammi, I think you got the original question wrong. Instead of saying why should I buy SC II you should've said why shouldn't I buy SC II haha.

Also keep in mind that there are a lot of custom gameplay types other than the ordinary RTS style that comes with it... I don't even play the normal game any more.

Its a good game if you're into RTS. Blizzard is an amazing company and the player base is large and balanced. As an added plus the custom maps are really fun if you're not feeling in the mood to do a heavy RTS kinds of games
