Core Conflicts Not Showing
Hi all, this is my first post and I'm having trouble with SOLAR.
I signed up to take ASTRON 1F03 and Computer Science 1MD3, and SOLAR said that was perfectly fine. But I was looking in the master timetable and it says they're at the same time.
Is it possible that they're planning to change the course times or something? SOLAR said no conflicts, but the timetable says different. I don't want to drop ASTRON 1F03 and lose my spot, but courses are running out and COMP SCI 1MD3 is mandatory for me.
COMP SCI 1MD3
C01 Tu We Fr 09:30 10:20 1 CNH/B107 FRANEK, F
T01 Mo 14:30 15:20 1 BSB/244
T02 Mo 09:30 10:20 1 BSB/244
T03 We 11:30 12:20 1 BSB/249
ASTRON 1F03
C01 Tu We Fr 09:30 10:20 1 HH/302 WADSLEY, J
Thanks for any help!
P.S. There are no tutorials listed for ASTRON 1F03, is it possible they haven't decided on the course time yet?

If there are conflicts you generally won't see them until the time table is released on mugsi.
You can typically add 10 courses that take place at the exact same time on the exact same days and as of right now solar won't say anything to you but once the time table is released you'll see that you have conflicts with all your classes
hope that helps

Damn, looks like this is definitely a core conflict then. So if I hadn't caught it now I'd be stuck choosing more courses when the timetable was released? Sounds frustrating.
I guess I'll change ASTRON 1F03 to something else then.
Thanks!

Astronomy isn't mandatory so I'm guessing they probably won't change it :(

This is why you should make a mock timetable (including tutorials and labs) to make sure, so that you aren't scrambling in August.

I didn't even know the master timetable existed, so I didn't know how to get all those times. They weren't on the main course listing.
But I'll be sure to do that for second year.

it's a good habit to get into especially in second year when you have a gazillion options for courses to take
