What can I do about this? I put in courses late June/early July, why is there a conflict?

The system couldn't find a way to fit it in. Not getting any easier now since most of the cores and labs are full, so there is very little flexibility without hitting a dead end.

You might have to change your elective and make it lighter.

I spent about 3 hours adjusting mine, its not an easy fit since we have so many classes.

Well since it's a matter of a conflicted tutorial and lab, most of my friends told me that talking it out with the prof usually works. As for a core, might work might not there's no guarantee but a lot of students start rescheduling their schedules by the beginning of Sept when they try the courses out and see how it works with their timetables. So, around that time you might actually get the chance to fix things up. I suggest you check SOLAR more frequently by the start of classes :')

Hope that helps ^-^

Are you sure a non-conflicting schedule is possible given your courses? Since you didn't post the actual conflict, I'm not sure if that's the problem or not.
