What happens if I keep a conflict?

What happens if I keep a conflict?
I'm taking a full year French course. There is a one hour tutorial every week for the year. Unfortunately, there isn't one tutorial that works for my schedule in both terms. Right now, I have set it up so I have a tutorial that works in term 1. SOLAR tells me I have a conflict with that tutorial in term 2, and I plan on just switching tutorials when the time comes.

Are we allowed to do this?

Yes you are allowed too. But university policy states that if you have courses in conflict, any negative academic result is your responsibility. For example, both classes have a quiz on the same day...you can't get a 'Missed Work Form'...you will have to take a zero on the quiz in one of the classes.

Oh okay, but that won't matter because I plan to switch to another tutorial in term 2. I'll email the prof and let her know of the situation, just in case. Thanks!

E-mailing the prof is probably a good idea.

When the time comes all the tutorials in Term 2 that work for you might be full so you may still have a conflict. The professor may be able to help you.
