So you have 4-5 days to study? Quit yer bitchin and start studying. Srsly even this idiot with the low average can figure that out.

If its Bio 2A03 the exam is only worth 40%, if that makes you feel any better. I have it on Tuesday as well.
Tips- READ THE NOTES! They don't take that long to get through. We have plenty of time, just buckle down! Also Alex has office hours in BSB 207 today, where we can pick up our past tests. Probably a good study tool. 12-4 I think, so I actually think I'll go now-ish.
(If its a different course, it somewhat probably still applies)

Haha, I think 3UU3 (other animal phys) is on Tuesday as well.
It's really not that bad, study 'backwards' (most recent stuff towards the stuff that you've learned in the past).

Just got back from seeing Thelma and Alex, apparently we don't get to keep our tests. You can view the test questions with the correct answers though, which is still helpful. Unfortunately if you haven't gone yet, there aren't any other office hours for Alex. Thelma has the tests for her office hours on Monday, but two hours of looking at them probably won't help much...
You've still got plenty of time for studying though, so don't panic. You have 3 whole days, plus the rest of today. Dr. Nurse is contributing 65 questions, so focus on his stuff. According to Alex the material is equally weighted between lectures, but that doesn't seem too likely. Focusing on the material that hasn't been tested yet (Hormones, Muscles, etc) is probably a good bet. At worst its only worth the same as other units, at best its worth more. Make sure to review key concepts for the earlier units too though! Know how manipulating variables like HR, blood pH, SNS activity, etc will change other variables. Don't worry about reviewing the anion, cation, membrane potential stuff if you already have a strong background in physics or chem. You'll have enough time on the exam to logic those out without needing to know what we learned in this course.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me and I'll do my best to help!

If you are already failing the course, and the exam is worth 50%, doesn't that mean it's impossible to pass the course, even if you get perfect on the exam?
(I don't know math and stats very well, so I could be wrong)
I'm not encouraging you to give up, but if you're going to fail the course no matter what, I wouldn't waste time studying for the exam. You could spend your time studying for something else instead.

Actually, if you are getting a 0 in the course and get 100% on the exam you would end up with 50%, which is a 1.

Well you have 2 choices... study and attempt to pass or give up, fail and pay another ~$500 to take it again (or another course) next year. Do you really want to have to go through animal phys. again???
Plus, you still have plenty of time! Bad exam schedules are something you need to get use to. I've had 3 exams within 2 days, had to study for an exam in less than 24 hours... (though I'm sure others have had it worse)

Well if a pass is 50%... and you've already got 26%... you only need 50% - 26%= 24% on the exam! Though do try to do better! Your cumulative average sticks with you for a while... lol

I'm confused.. don't you add 50% to the 26% of the current mark??.. hypothetically speaking of course if I were to get perfect
