Hi! Im coming to mac in the fall to start my first year in business and i was just wondering about the options i have for dancing while im at mcmaster

It depends. there are several. There is the mac dance company which covers several and i think is the biggest group at mac. If you are into hiphop and really good than you can tryout for OUCH (Ontario Universities Competition for Hiphop (O.U.C.H.) -). ther are other. if you dont want to join a team there are classes

Is it called O.U.C.H. because there is a lot of BREAKdancing?

Hey there! There a couple of great dance options at Mac. As someone already mentioned there's the Mac Dance Club (which i'm in! woo) and O.U.C.H. which is a competitive Hip Hop team that usually does every well. There's the Verve dance team, which is a (I believe competitive) jazz/lyrical dance team. And I also think there's the McMaster Dance Company but I haven't heard much about it lol. Either way they all require an audition. The Mac Dance Club offers a bunch of styles and you have to audition for each of them separately (some don't have auditions such as bollywood, irish, etc.). For the audition they'll give everyone a short choreo and then you'll perform it in smaller groups of about 5 in front of the exec. Everyone gets into the club, but they'll divide you by skill level (usually beginner, intermediate, and advanced). We have a recital every year in February, which is tons of fun! For the other dance companies I think a solo audition is required. If you have any questoins about the dance club in particular let me know!
