I tried to connect to the DC++ and it said it failed to connect to the machub....
it says "A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond"
what should i do?

The creator has shut down DC++ due to lack of interest :(.

I believe someone posted yesterday or the day before that the person hosting it is no longer doing so due to lack of interest.

So, there is nothing you can do short of deciding to host the server
