If I may offer another suggestion - we had a lot of fruit flies last year and one of my housemates came up with a clever device:

you cut off the top of a pop bottle, any size, flip it around so its inverted, and pour juice in the bottom of the bottle. sometimes its good to tape the top down, too. the fruit flies fly in, and they dont fly out very effective! (we also vacuumed them off the walls, we had a lot..)

Yeah I've seen that done before, it is rather clever.

And unlike Lorend, I have a problem with my kitties eating centipedes. I know she would prefer if they did it so she never had to see them but it grosses the heck out of me...

oh, so you're cutting the entire top off, the whole plastic neck of the bottle so theres like an inverted cone.. I suppose the bugs could still get out if they find the opening of the bottle

Fruit flies aren't very smart Chad, they fly in and they kinda stay there.

My cat ate a moth this morning. FOR YOU lorend! FOR YOU!
Well I think she ate the wing... either way

I have one of those pillow backrest things and I usually put it on the floor at night cause it takes up too much room on my bed. Well Lorend saw one lurking just underneath it the other week and it sent us all into a panic that involved using the mop pole to lift the cushion while I delivered swift justice in the form of a fly swatter.
It was a traumatic moment

In light of this article, I think you should all view this comic strip. It's from an awesome comic called Questionable Content, and I suggest you check it out full time. However, for this particular moment just reading this one strip will suffice. No prior knowledge of the strip needed.
