I'm a bit confused about the Dean's List qualifications.

This link says that you need an average of 9.5 on at least 30 units.

My sessional average is 9.9 on 27 units (ie. I took 4 courses in one semester, and 5 in the other). However, I took a summer course last year, and considering the mark I got in this summer class, my average would still be 9.8.

However this is where it gets confusing. I took this summer course because I dropped a class the year before. So do these 3 units get carried over to this session, or the previous session? This is confusing me because the link also says, "At each review the assessment will be based on all units completed since the previous Deans' Honour List review. On my grade report for that summer course, beside "cumulative average" it says "unreviewed average". Does this mean that that this class will be considered in this years list review?

You will be on the Deans Honour List, but after the summer term. You dropped that one class and completed the 3 units in the summer, so your last review period since completing 30 units was the end of summer 2009.

Since you only completed 27 units in 2009-2010, I'm guessing you're taking another summer class this term?

I thought you had to take a full courseload to be on the deans list? ie. 30 units during the term.

30 units since your last review period, which for most students is a full courseload during the year (but not for students who took summer school, co-op, etc)

I wasn't planning on making up the credit this summer, since I scored a sweet, high-paying full time job. So for the 2010-2011 year, I'm just going to make sure I take a full course load, so next summer I can make up for the lost credit from the 2009-2010 year.

Will that affect me getting onto the dean's list?

The Dean List is only influenced by the courses taken within 1 review period.

Yeah, so like Jeremy implied, your next review period is at the end of Fall 2010. By then they would have counted your Winter 2010 classes on top of Fall 2010.
