You can select different payment plans other than payment in full. You will still have to pay a certain amount on september 1st. Interest is added at the end of each month on any outstanding balances, 1.2% interest.
If you have any financial issues then you should go talk to someone at SFAS. They can help you plan out payments and answer any financial questions you may have.
