Deferred Exams counted towards GPA?
I'm taking a course right now and have my exam in a couple days, I'm wondering though if I were to defer the exam would this grade count towards my GPA?

I am on probation, and this course basically determines whether or not I'll stay in.
I know the assess our grades in May, so I'm just wondering if I defer it will it be counted towards that?

Thanks

I think they wait and assess your situation after the mark for the deferred exam comes out in June.
If you want to be sure, email Sally and ask her, or drop by her office (in JHE).
Good luck on the exam!

If you are struggling to the point where you are already on probation AND you are trying to find a way to avoid an exam this week that could determine your status in the faculty, maybe engineering just isnt for you? Not to be rude but engineering isnt for everyone, and if you are to the point where you are considering deferring exams due to being unprepared, you at least need to really reconsider your study habits and your goals at Mac.
