Instead of asking whether to defer an exam, that time can be spent on the course material so you can ace the exam now! (In case it wasn't obvious)

I have a surgery the day of my exam, I wanted to write it the night before, but they won't let me. I don't think its worth deferring if you don't have to.

Also you do realise that final exam deferments aren't handled on that web site, you have to go in and justify it?
