All the Chem Labs for 1AA3 are FULL, but all the tutorials (almost) are empty. Why?

who cares why. it doesnt matter. it might be full on solar but spots may be available for which u need to see landry for. if u need to change a lab for it then you have to go see jeff landry first week of school.

If everything is full though, what can he do? Unless it's a conflict, will he really fix anything if you want a particular lab?

If all the labs are full in chem 1aa3 and you need the course (regardless of whether it's conflicting with other courses or not), Jeff Landry will open up a spot for you.

He will not fix it so that you get a "particular" lab, he will fix it so that you get into a section that does not conflict with the rest of your courses. It may or may not be at a time that is convenient for you, but nobody really cares whether or not you WANT to wake up at 8:30 on Monday, or stay until 5:00 on Friday. However, in many cases you have the option of switching the lab OR the thing it conflicts with, and he may ask you to try that first.

Usually there are a decent number of people doing this, so if the sections that work with your schedule legitimately are all full, he'll then look at switching the sections of the people with conflicts (ie, take one person out of one full section, thus creating a spot for you, and then putting that person in another section that works for them).

So if he gives me a lab on Friday Afternoon 230-520, I can't use the excuse that I have a job in Toronto at that time?

And let's say he gives me lab 53 which is the same time as lab 43, can I ask for lab 43?
