What to do with textbooks that aren't in use anymore?
I'm pretty sure everyone has textbooks that they can't sell since the instructor of the course has changed or doesn't require the same book used last year. What do you do with your textbooks that you can't sell? I have a lot and I'm not sure what to do with them.

They won't buy old editions of the book. You can try selling them on the internet though. Just because McMaster isn't using the book anymore doesn't mean another university isn't either.

Sometimes they buy back old editions to send to other schools.
Sometimes you can still sell older editions to students, especially if the content is the same.

Funny story, but it was pretty evil...
My friend sold a macroeconomics textbook for $80 to a first year, without Aplia. Supposedly, the first year didn't know you needed Aplia. He's going have to buy Aplia for $60 now... lol
...this is why you should go to your first class before buying textbooks!

I keep most of my books... most of them have been useful as sources in my research over the past number of years. I also plan on keeping most (if not all) of them for my personal library.
Just a suggestion! Sometimes old books are still useful!

it sucks and Buyback isn't really fair anyway.. they buy books for lowest possible price and end up selling for double. They are like EB games.. but a tiny bit better.
