How do you know which books are required for your program?
I was just wondering how you know which books you need for your program. I haven't received any information regarding books as of yet, and I'll be entering the Level 1 nursing program. Is there a date when this information will be disclosed?

usually u get the information in first week of classes when professors will let u know what books they need u to have and which one's are required and which ones are recommended .. if u r really eager u can just ask ppl who have done the courses u have and they should be able to help u out

Actually, Titles Bookstore posts a list of textbooks usually sometime in August that will be required for 2010-11. However, it is advised that you wait until the first week of classes to purchase your books since the professor will tell you what books you absolutely need and which one's are optional.

Like the posts above say the bookstore will have your course materials/ book lists ready before the 1st week. The current date available to begin looking at what books u'll need is Aug 6th this year. its under course materials. I suggest writing down the titles ISBN's etc of what'll ull need and then try finding the books used under the classifieds or on kijiji.
Good Luck!!!

The Bookstore is aiming to post the booklist August 6 - however the University seems to be hiring Instructors later and later in the year which means that we are still getting loads of adoptions (Professors notification of what books they will be needing) daily.

Waiting until the first day of class to buy your books is the best thing to do as Instructors can give you abetter idea of what is required, what is optional and sometimes the syllabus changes.

We will put the list up as soon as we can but that doen't mean it is 100% complete. If a Prof hasn't told us what books they are using just yet because there were just hired last week there isn't much we can do except update the list as soon as we get the info.

The good news is we are working a new website that will pull up a custom list of books for you. Bear with me if it is a couple of days late. It has been a long road to get here and I'm looking forward to the death of the current Titles website as much as any student.
