yes because electrical engineers often either voluntarily sign up for software courses during their 4 years, or they have mandatory classes that are comp eng that they must complete as part of their degree. so going from elec eng to comp eng isnt a huge stretch.

I'm doing a 16-month co-op at RIM right now. Can't imagine myself in any other field really.
