problem is he came to canada.......... being an immigrant country there r way too many foreigners here to help newcomers develop english. in my high school in scarborough, pretty much all the kids in ESL classes r asians, so they speak chinese between themselves. my family moved to the UK when i was in grade 7, was the only chinese kid in the entire town, my school kinda just dropped me into normal classes and woot got my british accent in like a month's time(kinda lost it all after i came to canada tho....but i still say tomato/status/data/alumin

i think he just need to not think about his accent, mayb he is afraid so he cant speak very fluently? accent here really isnt that much an issue, a lot of the profs in our school have wierd accents yeah?
