I have a some textbooks that I don't need anymore. Also, how much can I expect to get?

Yes! If you bought them new at the bookstore, they ask for your information to contact you when/if they're buying them back. Also, check this site out to see if they are, and to get a quote:

From experience, they will rip you off on buyback, then sell it to some other student in the store for a lot more.
Usually it works out to find someone (like through the marketplace here) to sell textbooks. They get better deals and you get more money. But that's just my opinion.

Don't sell to titles, they have really bad buyback prices. (Although its a bit justified, because they end up getting stuck with tons of textbooks that students dont buy..)

Check this out: Where to buy/sell textbooks (Updated for 2012)
Those are the best places to sell your books to get the MOST money. Selling them yourself through classifieds. You can ask whatever price you want and usually if your prices are fair, you'll get the most money back.
Or you can sell them directly to Titles through the 'Hole in the wall' location and get a guaranteed amount in cash, its quick but you'll get less for them.

The worlds a crooked place. Like faculty needs an extra twenty to line their pockets. Give your head a shake!

It's technically academic dishonesty to sell (or give) old midterms to people...just fyi.
You also can't sell notes if they are the prof's (ex, powerpoint slides you printed and wrote on), because they hold the copyright to it--you can't make money off of it.
