Dropping French 1z06, a bad idea?
Hello MI users!

Im just wondering if dropping french 1z06 in order to take both geographies and env sci 1b03 is a bad idea?
Do you think so? because I want to find easy electives to boost my marks…..I mean taking electives that are not so demanding just do the fair amount of work and be great to have 10+.

Hope to receive your response! Thanks

It depends on your interest. If you like it you will do well in it. So do you like geography/earth science or french more? That is the course you should keep.

French 1Z06 is probably one of the easiest courses you'll ever take. If you put in 1-2 hours of work outside of class every week, probably an easy 12. Otherwise, it's still pretty hard to get lower than a 10.

From the people who took geography it seemed as if they had to do plenty of work in order to get a 12.
I'd say stick to French unless you think it might be really really boring

It depends. Are you any good at French? If you had decent French grades in high school, I would recommend taking 1Z06. I think you could achieve 10-12 if you put the work in.
First year Geography courses used to be considered "bird courses", but I don't think they are anymore. You need to put in quite a bit of effort to get the grades.

This is the same class I'm taking, and I wouldn't change it for geography/enviro sci, but that's just me lol

I really can't decide because I want to travel around the globe. However, France is really my favourite place to visit, reside and work (if hopefully granted to have an exchange program). So I may stick to take French 1z06 in order to be multilingual from trilingual. Anyways thanks for the post

For now Im sticking to French 1z06 so that there is a guarantee to pull my average from "hard courses" like commerce 1e03 and math 1m03.
