Dropping Out!
Hey guys sorry for the scary title

I have been a long time reader but never registered...so here goes

Ok so I have a conditional offer from a med school in the UK for sept 2010, but I need a very good score in SATI and II to secure a place.

I was wondering if I could 'drop the 2nd term' so i could concentrate on my SATs, and in case I dont get the required marks, I can resume my uni studies the following year. Is that possibe?

Or do I have to drop out and re-apply again??

any help would be much appreciated.

thanks
Sidrah

The best way to get the full correct answer to this is to go talk to a faculty adviser.

Good luck!

The fact that you immediately checked learnlink is funny in it of itself.

To be fair, I tend to lurk everyone who posts on ELM (or here) on facebook as my first response. I like being able to put a face to the words.

took SATs in grade 12, preped through summer. let me tell u...it doesnt matter whether u skip a semester of school. most of the stuff on the SAT I is more or less high school math, basic writing. had trouble with critical reading though...never got over that.

SAT II should be pretty easy too if your in second year. msot of the stuff is like first year uni or grade 12 stuff. lot easier than APs IMO.
