Earh Sc 2WW3
I am currently taking this water course, and Im totally lost. Do I need to read and memorize the whole textbook? or just paying attention to the lecture notes?

Can anyone please give me some advice? About how to study, get prepare, or the style of exam?

Thanks very much for any help!

You don't need to memorize everything. Pay attention in lectures. If he is keeping the same exam format that is passage based, then you just need to know all the concepts. Passages are given like a situation in a city or a country. And questions are related to that, you have to answer based on concepts learned in class. Not much of a memorization but know the terms well. It's not hard at all. Hope this helps.

had him for 2ei3 as well .. exam not nearly as detailed as the quiz
you get a few case studies and answer questions relating to them.. more concepts than raw data

you may want to know a few things for the essay portion though

When I took this class a couple of years ago, our format of the exam (and tests) were just all multiple choice. You'd need to know the lecture content to a pretty big extent (80%?), including the extra stuff the prof talks about and not just what's on the PPT slides. This contained concepts which were in certain locations/scenarios around the world and you'd need to know that, not just the concepts themselves. A bit of the textbook (20%) was also covered, which is mostly about the definitions that weren't on the slides. All in all, pretty fun and relaxing course. Don't stress!

No the data is not asked. You don't need to memorize the numbers or anything that are asked in the online quizzes. Concepts like what is consequence of ground water abstraction on water pollution or what technology used for certain water treatment.

Good luck =)

Studied the day of the exam and kept my 12, lol. Ensure you are getting 90+ on the quizzes, though. I had Bernier, the exam was case studies and an essay. I only read the lecture slides once.
