If Dr. Padden is teaching this course then Enviro Sci 1G03 would be an easier course but then I never took the course so I don't know much about it. Geo 1HA3 is also a pretty straightforward course but there is a lot of work involved in order to get a good mark

But of course the choice is up to you...

It depends on your choice really. In Enviro 1G03, I feel that you learn much more and it allows you to take future geological courses as well. It has 4 labs which are really good if you just put in the time and work and the testing is also really fair. Taking both the courses, I feel Enviro 1G03 is much more interesting as Geo 1HA3 is just a lot of memorising and if Dr Peace is testing it, the exam is just going to be testing or random facts.
