Earth Science 2GG3
Hey everyone,
I haven't heard very good things about this course so far. I want to know what everyone else thought who took it. Like does it require a lot of work to get a 12 and is it interesting?
Thanks

One of my friends took this in 1st semester and said the prof was bad. I don't know if its the same prof this time though. Another one of my friends took this last year and said it was tougher than it sounds reading the course outline.

I LOVE natural disasters and didn't like the course. I took it last year with Riller and it took me by surprise. He didn't post any text on his slides, it was all just pictures so you had to write down EVERYTHING he said and he tested us on little details (note I didn't figure this out til after I bombed the midterm). He didn't focus on main concepts which bothered me. Textbook didn't help much because he focused on current examples. I got a better mark in geochemistry and I hate/suck at chemistry. lol

Oh haha. You can only get a general idea through other people's opinions, but that doesn't necessarily mean your experience will be identical to theirs! You could also check out this thread: http://www.macinsiders.com/showthrea...ers-25215.html
And look up the prof on ratemyprofessors.com (if they're there)

Prof makes a huge difference.

In the summer this class was easy for me.
