Totally not true. This course was fantastic and SUPER easy! It got me thinking about studying environmental assessments in grad school.

The distribution of marks in this course is as listed below:
In-lab Debate 10% (9% for debate performance, 1% for feedback)
Midterm Test 20%
Assignment 30%
Final Exam 40% (all course material – cumulative) -

The midterm and final are multiple choice with a few short answer questions (very simple). The assignment is a 1-2 page letter you write in response to an EA proposal. The in-lab debates happen at the beginning of the term and are fairly simple. It's more about making sure you follow proper debate format.

Overall, definitely a course that if you go to class and study the slides you can get an A. It's a good course to see how your knowledge in geo and earth/envir sc fits into the real world.
