easy electives for first year
I am going to life sciences and so need easy electives.
Are there any electives that have a low course load or no finals and have a high GPA? Also, can someone tell me if there are any easy electives in humanities? Thank you in advance.

I did first year in Life Sci, and I took Kin 1Y03/1YY3 as my electives. It was a really interesting course, very minimal workload. It requires memorization, though, but I'm terrible at memorizing stuff and I still did well on it. It's great if you're interested in the human body and how it works. We also had some pretty cool labs.

What areas are you interested in? Good electives are ones that interest you Lots of people say microecon and macroecon are pretty easy...personally, you couldn't pay me enough to take an econ course!!! But if you like it, they're supposed to be pretty easy electives.

There's no such thing as an easy elective.
But econ or geography. those are some pretty easy courses. Health studies isnt bad either.
it all depends on the person, and what you mean as an elective.

Because if you mean elective to mean just an easy course, then to me, taking Chem 1A03/1AA3 would be considered an elective. Same with Physics 1B03/1BB3.

... go ahead, mock me but im serious

take anthropology 1Z03, most of the material overlaps with Bio 1M03.

as for an easy humanities course id have to say History 1B03, Americas and the New World or something like that. Its so simple all you talk about is the origins of the slave trade, what happened, where it occured, and how it affected the Europeans. There was only i think 2 maybe 3 essays max for the course, no midterm and exam was straight forward. I pulled a 12 in the course with little effort needed.

Hope that helps

Yep, for me you can also include Bio 1A03/1M03 and Math 1A03/1AA3. I thought first year in general were a bunch of easy courses to be honest, kind of like half reviews from high school. Which I was kind of expecting considering it was the same deal in grade 9.

Hmm, Linguistics 1A03/1AA3, French 1Z06 or 1K06. Anthro 1Z03 is not necessarily a bird course but is possible to do well in, especially if you take biology -- I'm not really sure of this anymore since the professor has changed since I took it. I think you have to take Psych 1X03/1XX3, but if you don't, I'd advise not to take it since it's not a bird course and a lot of students go into it thinking it might be.
