Has anyone taken ECON 2G03 with McCabe or taken any other course with this prof? If so does he test on material in the text that is not in lecture? I know in some classes e.g. ECON 1BB3 with O'Shaughnessy you must read the text. How about for ECON 2G03 with McCabe?

I took 3S03 with McCabe. From my experience he was clear and it was easy to make good notes in his class. Is midterms were extremely fair. But his exam I was challenging but not unfair. Basically your notes are enough. The textbook was basically reference in case you didn't understand something. The class I took was more mathematical than theoretical so the textbook was not very useful. From my experience though he only tests you he teaches you, but i can't speak to his teaching of Econ 2G03.. Keep in mind that his pacing is not very good. Towards the end of the course he ran out of time and basically just came up with a study guide for the topics he couldn't get to and told us to learn it on our own. Just a heads up
