Econometrics 3U03 problem
Im currently taking Econometrics 3U03 and I am starting to believe that the perquisite course I took (SOCSCI 2J03) has not prepared me well enough in order to pass let alone to well in this course. Im considering dropping 3U03 this year and taking another perquisite course first term next year (ECON 2B03), which will hopefully prepare me significantly more. Then 2nd term next year I will take Is this possible? Im not worried about taking more than 4 years, but am I worried about doing well.

OPINIONS??

2b03 isn't really going to offer more insight into 3u03. The secret to success in Metrics is a) practice and b) find a great textbook. My recommendation would be 1.introduction to econometrics wooldridge 2. Introduction to Econometrics by stock.

A LOT of people struggle with econometrics. While 2B03 probably won't help much, brushing up on your algebra will will with the proofs.

Honestly, just keep at it. I found it got a bit easier as the semester went on. Practice, practice, practice. Read economic journal articles so you can see how econometrics is applied in research... I took 3F03 at the same time as 3U03 and I found this really helpful because the former included some basic applied econometrics.
