Hi,
Anyone here from the Electrical engineering department? 4EK4 is cancelled this year, since only 7 or 8 students took this course last year. But there should be some student interested in 4EK4 this year. We need to get it back!
I emailed Dr.Deen who's teaching 4EK4. He replied that if there were more than 10 students interested in 4EK4, he would make a request to the department to open the course for us. I've already found 5 students now.If you are interested in 4EK4, please post reply. Thanks!!
4EK4 is about the computer aided design of microelectronic circuits using PSpice and the fundamental knowledge of simulation, layout and fabrication. I think some basic knowledge of semiconductor devices will also be offered according to last year slides.
It's a useful course, since integrated circuits are the building blocks of any electrical system. Microelectronics industry is also a pillar industry in Ontario. here is a research about microelectronics industry in Ontario:

The prerequisite for 4EK4 is 3EJ4.
