Tablet for Electrical/Bio Eng?
Hi,
Is there any specific computer hardware requirement for the Electrical and Biomedical Engineering program? (ie: forced rental of laptop?)
I'm thinking about buying a tablet. Would this be a wise choice?
Thanks.

I hardly ever take my laptop to class, so I would say that its pointless.

Computers/laptops are distracting imo. I don't think i've ever seen anyone taking notes on them past first year (only playing games now, lol).

If you still want a tablet, the HP Tx2500 is a pretty decent one for the price. It's a bit dated now, but still good enough .

I am not in Elec/Bio engineering.
But if you think a tablet would help your study, and you can afford one, go for it. Many people (in my class at least) is doing good in class with pen and paper alone.
Btw, iPad is coming out soon and that could be a consideration too. (Integrating your textbook into it) Though its so expensive for its spec.
